The IT Service Centre Intern role at Clicks Group Services offers graduates a fixed-term opportunity to gain practical experience in IT support and incident management. Based at the Clicks Head Office in Cape Town, this internship focuses on providing dynamic first-line technical support, managing incidents and service requests, and ensuring effective resolution within agreed service levels. Interns will engage directly with business users and vendors, learning to deliver professional customer service while developing technical, analytical, and communication skills. This program is designed to build a strong foundation in IT service management, preparing graduates for future careers in IT support and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and email support to users
• Accurately record, assign, escalate, and track all incidents and service requests
• Take ownership of incidents and service requests from initiation to closure
• Deliver dynamic first-line technical support to promptly restore IT services
• Engage professionally with business users and vendors to provide customer service within agreed service levels
• Ensure IT-related incidents and service requests are resolved effectively with high customer satisfaction
• Perform standby work in the IT Service Centre when required
• Work weekends, public holidays, and Sundays if necessary

Qualifications

• Essential: Matric / Grade 12 and an IS or IT Diploma
• Knowledge of Information Systems, company policies, and governance frameworks
• Understanding of customer service and incident management processes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and technical computer skills
